As a child of God, how aware are you of the divine power residing within you? There is power that is bestowed upon us by the Almighty God when you accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. You are part of a chosen generation and a royal priesthood, carrying within you a powerful divine potential waiting to be unleashed. Are you ready to tap into this God given power that has been given to you? Are you daring enough to witness the wonders of Jesus in your life? How do you do this? Read on to find out.
Power found in Salvation
When you accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, you are transformed from being lost, broken and condemned to death, to being a child of God who walks in the power and authority of God. This is a great gift that God has given to His children. No longer condemned but saved and equipped to live a life of victory and destiny. Revelation 1:5 powerfully depicts Jesus as, “the firstborn from the dead and the ruler of kings on earth. To Him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by His blood.” This transformative scripture brings to light the promise of a life redeemed from darkness to light through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Power found in your Testimony
As a chosen generation, we have the responsibility to testify about the works God has performed in our lives. Jesus’ miracles, signs, and wonders were recorded in the scriptures for us to learn from and bear witness to. The power of Jesus’ blood is undeniable. Embrace this truth and let it stand as a testament to all the miracles God has performed in your life. Remember, wherever you go, signs, wonders, and miracles will follow you because Jesus is with you.
Your role as a witness to Jesus’ victory is not a light one. The Bible encourages us to bear witness to the truth of God’s Word. This means that we should tell others about Jesus, how He has saved us, how He loves us and wants to save all of humanity. This is done by living a life of victory in how we act and speak. Saint Francis of Assisi said, “Preach the Gospel at all times, and if necessary, use words.” The return of Jesus is imminent, and we are called to be His witnesses on earth, now. This is our opportunity to stand up and testify of the things God has done in our lives.
Power found in the Blood of Jesus
In Revelation 1:5, we learn that Jesus is, “the firstborn from the dead and the ruler of kings on earth. To Him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by His blood.”
His resurrection from the dead presents us with the opportunity for spiritual rebirth and transformation through the blood of Jesus. His blood washes away our sins and presents the opportunity for us to be restored in relationship with God. No longer does sin separate us! Now we can call upon the Lord and be saved!
The Power found in the Holy Spirit
Once saved, we were not left to fend for ourselves. Jesus promised us that we would receive power. In Acts 1:8, Jesus declared, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” This divine power that Jesus referred to is the same power that is within us as children of God. When we speak, the power of God is released. When we lay hands on the sick, the power of God is released. We are indeed capable of doing greater things than Jesus did because Jesus is with us!
We are the chosen generation, and we have the power of God living within us. The signs of the time are apparent, and as prophesied by Jesus in Acts 1:7. We should not be living in fear but be ready to ascend. Jesus also promised us that we shall receive power—the same power that Jesus had on earth. We have the power of God living in us, and when we speak, the power of God is released.
